Crafted and fired in Limoges, France, this is a rich cobalt-blue pillbox depicting a traditional courting scene on the lid, beautiful gold detailing surrounding the illustration and around the sides of the pillbox along with a gold metal hinge and clasp. This gorgeous round pillbox has been given a Junk to Funk facelift, as I have added by hand "Ecstasy" in cursive lettering to the inside of the box. A gorgeous slice of history, this beautiful piece is awaiting an equally beautiful forever home.
This stunning collection has been acquired from a private collector who spent his time travelling and collecting pillboxes from around the world. These pieces date back to the 1950's and are stamped "Goudeville Limoges Made in France" on the base.
Lettering is printed and fixed to the pillbox permanently via the decal process, however... it is purely for display purpose.
